This VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy Treatments (Qualification No. 603/4095/2) is UK Ofqual-regulated and aligned with RQF Level 3. Total qualification time is 370 hours (GLH 230 hours), covering three mandatory units: iUCT22 Aromatherapy (80 GLH, 50% weighting), iUBT434 Professional Conduct & Business Awareness (50 GLH, 20% weighting), and iUBT435 Anatomy & Physiology (100 GLH, 30% weighting). The course covers complete client consultation, health screening, contraindication identification, essential oil and carrier oil blending, four basic massage techniques (effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, acupressure), pre-, during, and post-treatment care, plus salon operations and industry regulations. Students must complete 10 independent clients (4 treatments each) – a total of 40 complete aromatherapy treatment records. Assessment includes case files, external theory MCQ exams, and an external practical exam (approx 60 mins: 15 mins consultation & blending + 45 mins full-body massage). Graduates receive the VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 3 Aromatherapy Diploma and can work in beauty salons, spas, hotel wellness centres, cruise ships, or establish their own practice.
