[Course Objective/Purpose]
- This course aims to equip learners with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to provide professional intimate waxing treatments for female clients, achieving occupational competence at Level 3 within the beauty industry. The course focuses on hygiene and safety, professional client communication and care, and high-standard technical operations, laying a solid foundation for learners to enter related fields such as beauty salons and spas or to pursue higher-level courses.
[Learning Hours]
- The total Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the course is 94 hours, with a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 110 hours. The course covers theoretical learning, practical skills practice in a simulated environment, and assessment preparation.

- Minimum age of 18 years; and
- Understand Cantonese, Mandarin, or English; and
- Possess basic reading and writing skills in either Chinese or English
- Basic knowledge of beauty care is recommended but not mandatory.

[Unit Assessment: Practical Examination]
- The learner must perform one full Brazilian or Hollywood waxing treatment in front of an external examiner. Assessment criteria include: Professional Appearance, Client Care, Hygiene and Sterilisation, Application of Hot Wax, Removal of Hot Wax and Finished Result, Aftercare Advice and Oral Questions.

[Assessment Requirements]
- Candidates must achieve a 70% attendance rate before being eligible to take the exams.
- Internal Assessment (Internal mock practical assessment, assignment and treatment evidence evaluation)
- External Final Exam (Multiple Choice Question theory exam and practical exam)
- The minimum passing grade for the external practical examination is 60% (with minimum marks required in specific sections, e.g., at least 3 marks each for Appearance and Client Care).
- The minimum passing grade for the external theory examination (MCQ) is 60%, Merit is 75%, Distinction is 90%.

[Treatment Evidence Requirements]
- Complete 4 full treatment records for intimate waxing for female clients (using standard client consultation forms, including consultation, medical history, treatment details, client feedback and aftercare advice, with learner and client signatures).
